It is always best to contact your health insurance about coverage prior to your first appointment. It is your responsibility to understand your health insurance benefits. The following are some questions that may be helpful when you call:


Questions to ask your health insurance:

* Do I have outpatient mental health coverage?
* What is my
deductible? Individual? Family? Out-of-network?
* How much of my deductible has been met?
* Do I have a
co-pay or co-insurance?
* How many psychotherapy sessions are covered per year?
* Do I need prior authorization for mental health benefits? Out-of-network benefits?

* Are both in-person and teletherapy sessions covered?


Forms of payment

For session payments, co-payments, and deductible payments, we accept cash, check, or credit/ debit cards at the time of the session. All major credit cards are accepted.


Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel or reschedule a session, please provide 24-hours’ notice. If you miss a session without canceling, or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged a $60 cancellation fee due at our next session.


Self-Pay Option

Paying out of pocket does provide flexibility in the length of therapy sessions as well as the length of treatment. The self-pay option also eliminates the need for a diagnosis. Insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to bill for psychotherapy services. Self-pay clients who choose to pay the full amount on the day of service are eligible for a $30 discount.
