How we help

We understand that building a relationship with your body can be incredibly challenging. We're here to support you with a holistic approach that nurtures your connection with your body, food, and self-image, offering the compassionate care and tools you need to heal and thrive.

The models described below may be part of your treatment. Each therapist collaborates with the client to choose the best approach for the individual’s needs.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy helps clients to understand and heal the parts of themselves that struggle with body image and/or disordered eating. Therapists guide clients in exploring the beliefs held by these parts about their bodies. By understanding and compassionately addressing these parts, clients can start to heal the emotional wounds that contribute to negative self-perception.

Person-Centered Therapy

Person-Centered Therapy empowers clients to lead their healing journey, with the therapist acting as a supportive guide. This approach encourages self-acceptance and helps clients discover their inherent worth, which is crucial in healing the relationship with their body.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a therapy model designed for those who experience emotions very intensely. “Dialectical” means combining opposite ideas. DBT focuses on helping clients accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them to make positive changes through building skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal relationships.
